One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

I don't know, but I hope it was better than this. Bought it at Wal-Mart for $5 a couple of months ago hoping that it would be better than when I first saw it years ago...it got worse.Bobby wrote:So,am I the only one who likes this movie?

How 'bout a movie about this motherfucker? Tom Cruise can play him since he's about the same size.

Stalingrad is ill, as is...

This is the only film listed I haven't seen and have been wanting to. Thanks for the reminder.Fat Cat wrote:Stalingrad is ill, as is...

From the "German" perspective how 'bout these two:

Stalingrad is in the original german and a really good film.
Don`t forget "the unknown soldier" or okänd soldat in swedish. The original was made in 1955.
It is based on Vainö Linna s book of the same name.

Best WWII movie I've seen. No politics or whitewashing, just "here's what happened as accurately as we can show it."
Also +1 for Cross of Iron, a very underrated Peckinpah flick.

I have to give props to the Russians for using live fire in a war movie.
