This is the best of the recent run of revisionist superhero movies (Defendor, Kick Ass, etc). Directed by the dude (James Gunn) who did the likewise overlooked and genius Slither a few years back.
A legitimately awesome movie. Funny, violent, dramatic.
Stars Rainn Wilson and Ellen Page. Also has a doped up Liv Tyler, Michael Rooker (who was phenomenal on the Doug Benson podcast regarding this movie and I HIGHLY recommend listening to that as well because Rooker is hilarious as a motherfucker) and Kevin Bacon.
LOL Kevin Bacon agreed to be in it 'cause it filmed in Shreveport and there is a SuperSlow GURU there he could train under. Apparently his whole life is SuperSlow. It should also be noted that he looks like he weighs about 135 now. Shaf, who is this GURU?
