Sure, why would they want to tarnish the Adidas brand. R@@bok is in a no lose situation. If things go south for them with this deal, who'll notice and who cares ?And just to prove how little the naysayers know, Reebok and Adidas are owned by the same parent company. THEY (as in the owners of both companies) made the decision to select the marriage for CrossFit and Reebok - not Adidas.

I need to get me an x-fit t-shirt
Be nice if they have the "Work-out like a girl" in Men's sizes.
http://shop.cafepress.com/crossfit
I recently got a:
Viet Nam Class of '68
Shirt at that site
Reason for all this, ran into a couple in their '50's wearing X-fit hats at the coffee shop.
Asked them if they knew who Dan John was? They didn't, so we had a great talk about what is bad about x-fit. Guy was excited about learning to oly lift. Told him, I was there when we first taught all the smurfs at the old HQ in Soquel how to do the oly.
Lady mentioned how much paleo sucked. Told them cuz it was bullshit. Nice people.

For all that the buffoonery runneth to extremes, there are some good people to be found.... provided they can be gotten to before they are completely lobotomized by the @fit zealots.Gary John wrote:I need to get me an x-fit t-shirt

Every so often, in a sea of idiotic @fit shirts comes a t-shirt that is actually genuinely clever and funny. The Gorilla would wear this. It's probably less than $50 too.

Re: The couch thread
HQ should adopt a proven program to combat STDs. This would seem to be a good model:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/07/1 ... 96207.htmlThe French resistance and Allied bombers weren't the only threats that Hitler's Nazi soldiers faced in Paris during World War II. Turns out syphilis -- spread from dalliances with French prostitutes -- presented a more clandestine danger, reveals a new book.
To combat Nazi soldiers' temptations from the Parisian joie de vivre, Hitler gave the OK to manufacture blow up sex dolls as a more (ahem) hygienic alternative, reports The Herald Sun.
The sex dolls were apart of "the Borghild Project," a top secret 1940 mission inspired by SS chief Heinrich Himmler, who first alerted Hitler of the syphilis problem, according to The Daily Mail.
"The greatest danger in Paris is the widespread and uncontrolled presence of whores," Himmler reportedly wrote.

Props for stepping on the platform. Your first ride on the National Platform is humbling and shows you this ain't hangin with your buds and with judges you know. The next step is to come back and get in top 5. We'll see...

@fit hate aside, putting up 61/71 at 58kg bw for an adult who didn't arrive at O-lifting until well after puberty is a testament to her work ethic. Good for her. She qualified and competed. If she continues, she'll only get better. I'd be willing to bet that she' not training using @fit right now and is probably doing something programmed by Lost Battalion or maybe even Catalyst.Jay wrote:I give her credit for stepping up and doing this, hopefully she keeps competing.powerlifter54 wrote:Yes I Have Balls wrote:Placing 10th out of 13 finishers demonstrates that her domination of other athletes is proven on the field of battle, not in debate.FRKCTL wrote:Going over yesterday's results from USAW Nat'ls in Council Bluffs, Iowa, I noticed AllisonNYC Bishop lifted for Lost Battalion Hall. 58kg class, 5/6 attempts, 61kg/71kg 132kg total.

LOLZfit right here.
Re: The couch thread
So, Crossfit methodology teaches you to go 110%, don't be a pussy, push the boundaries of what you're capable of (per Glassman), then prescribes a rhabdo-inducing WOD...and their preventative solution is, don't exceed your capabilities? And you'll know you do if....you get rhabdo? And then it's your fault if you do so??
