Okay, watched episode 6 last night i.e the lie detector/Kerrie fucks Brody episode. That was a far out episode. I am curious about Saul...his ass might get waterboarded if I were in charge just because. Who tipped off the engineer/spy girl couple?

I'm wondering about Saul as well. I think it was just a quick misdirect play though.

I wonder if the CIA Deputy Director is involved. Or the lackey. The young CIA analyst that wants to get into the field.

I am growing more suspicious of the Deputy Director though.

Holy shitballz, that was a crazy fucking episode! Good sales job on the series Baffled. The wife and I would not have watched it had you not convinced me to give it a try. I don't know if you noticed but I was sad to see one major fuckup. If you watched the scenes from the next episode, you'll see Brody in his dress blues but with sergeant striped instead of gunnery sergeant stripes...unless it's some kinda flashback scene. Very well written series. It's our new fav. I liked the road trip sequence with Saul and the terrorist chick. That scene in the bar where she's fucking with that dude by the pool table was fucking awesome.

Mandy is killing it on this show.

Yes he is...but I think everyone is acting superbly. I wonder what the next season will focus on? A search for a mole?

Shape,
I'm glad you liked the show. I pushed it so hard I was afraid I over-hyped it. It's got my vote, running away, for best new show. Toss up for favorite with Boardwalk Empire.

I didn't notice the stripes on Brody, but then, I'm not a military guy and was pretty dialed up from all the drama.

Spells,
Agreed. He is perfect for his role. Everyone's killing it on this show, but Mandy is a freaking all-star.

Ka-BOOM! I may have to break out the one-hitter later to deal with this. My head can't take it.

Edit: I've got two episodes of Boardwalk still in the can since Homeland is absorbing so much of my limited brain cpu time.

Here's how I see the two shows.

Boardwalk set a standard of excellence and it keeps with it each week. The production is awesome, the story line is great and you got to see that Irish maids boobs.

Homeland is keeps me, literally, at the edge of my seat throughout. And just when you start thinking maybe they won't throw the misdirection play this week..... MISDIRECT!!!!!

I can't wait to see how it switches up on us again next week.

I'm still not convinced that he's a terrorist. Now it's too obviously sinister, right?

Agreed...maybe he's a double agent that Saul is running. The wife and I almost shit our pants when the the dude walks into his living room and it's not Walker. Never saw it coming.

I've got a weak theory on why scripted tv, especially on the cable shows, is so good. I think the popularity of reality tv has reduced the number of scripted shows which in turn has dwindled down the ranks of writers that would work on these shows. Only the very best and brightest and most dedicated are hanging in there.

Mandy and Claire are really workin' it.

Yeah, i still wonder who in the CIA is the mole. The obvious one says either Saul, or even the kid who Estes, the Dennis Haysbert stand-in tried to turn against Claire's character. Who knows though?

I started to get an idea it was Brody a few seconds after he turned off the alarm, but I though "no way, too crazy." Then, BOOM!

I like your theory as well. Showtime, Starz (boss is pretty good too) and HBO have awesome shows. And Strikeback on Cinemax is pretty good too. I hardly watch regular network tv anymore.

If Mandy doesn't win every award he's nominated for then I will have lost all faith in humanity.

Great, great episode. This has become my favorite Sunday show by a long shot.

Ditto!

So, why would Abu mazen (sp) have Brody thinking Walker was dead if they're both working for him anyway.

I know, right?

I haven't been able to come up with any sort of theory on that one either.

Maybe though, if Brody was really turned, he's been turned back by feeling betrayed?

Insane.

You need to re-read your Sun Tzu niggerachis, specifically the last chapter on "The Use of Spies."

I'm kind of surprised it took this long to get a Sun Tzu reference.

Also a little pissed I didn't make it. Good point though my ninja.

What better person to remain above suspicion than one that was previously a suspect and later exonerated?

I didn't really think about it till Gav's post.

I think there's something deeper and more sinister coming up than taking a mile long rifle shot at the pres. But I may be over thinking it too. The writing is so fucking good.

They're doing a really good job of filling in the backstory.

Definitely interesting to see how things fall from here. My favorite show now.

I watch it after Homeland now.

I shouldn't do that though. I should give it a day or two and catch up on demand. Even though I love Boardwalk, I feel a letdown after Homeland.

I'm sorry Shape. I didn't know Homeland was going to be so drug like.
