Just watched this tonight on Netflix. Basically it's about DMT and the death experience as a trip and astral projection. It's directed by Gaspar Noe who also directed Irreversible. Paz De La Huerta of Boardwalk Empire fame is in it as well. A lot of sex scenes in this movie too.

Enter The Void
Preparing for the day when the zombies come.
Re: Enter The Void
Looks interesting. The DMT trip, the way they seem to suggest in the trailer, sounds similar to ibogaine or the beta-carbolines like those in ayahuasca. I havent heard it described that way by others though. This is next to watch for me. Thanks.
Shut the fuck up and train
Re: Enter The Void
Ayahuasca is typically a mix of a plant containing DMT and another plant that contains an MAOI inhibitor. This allows the DMT to be orally viable. Similar effects but much more of a smooth ride than standard DMT. Well worth the time to prepare correctly.Sandman wrote:Looks interesting. I will check this documentary out.
Re: Enter The Void
Yes that is right, the question of whether some of the harmala alkaloids themselves are hallucinogens is open to debate but you're right I think they chiefly inhibit MAO so the other stuff like the tryptamines remain bioavailable. Shulgin wrote a bunch about this stuff and if I remember correctly he did try some harmala alkaloids and they weren't very effective. I'll have to refresh my memory. Ever read Shulgin's stuff. He's something, that's for sure.Dunn wrote:Ayahuasca is typically a mix of a plant containing DMT and another plant that contains an MAOI inhibitor. This allows the DMT to be orally viable. One of the best movies I've seen in the last few years hands-down.
DMT: The Spirit Molecule is playing on On Demand right now.

Re: Enter The Void
Probably would be better on shrooms or weed.
