Napoleon Dynamite on Fox

Post by baffled »

Awful.

21 minutes through first episode and I can't believe how bad this is. I am a big Simpsons and Family Guy watcher, and this is no Simpsons or Family Guy.

It's not even American Dad.

Why even bother giving it any sort of credit to even turn past FOX when it was on?

Are you asking why even try it? If so, because I was curious and had nothing else to watch while I was working on my laptop.

Sentence structure isn't your strong point. Faux internet tough guy indifference in the couch thread is much more up your alley.

I'm one of those people that really didn't understand what the big deal was with the movie. Based on that experience, not planning on watching the cartoon at all.

Movies, just like books, music, booze, food etc. affect everyone differently. Personally I absolutely loved the movie. It worked for both me and my wife and we will on occasion on a rainy Sunday afternoon sit down and watch it. Lost track how many times we've seen it. It's cool you don't like it and I can see how it might not work for some people. But I ask you, step back for a second and consider a quirky little movie about friendship and what you might be willing to do to help out a fellow brother in need. C'mon now, the last scene where they're standing by the teather-ball pole and he asks if she would like to play him and then he says, "I caught you a delicious bass" as the song I Promise by When in Rome is playing...awesomely sweet little scene.

Only problem is that I am actually not an internet tough guy, I'm pretty sure of that. In real life however.... at times.

If you actually read the sentence correctly it would make sense.

Yea it was worded oddly but that was my intention.

Based on the word "FOX" I think you were trying to say you want a three-way with Sean Hannity and Greta Van Susteren. Let me know if that is a correct read.

it isn't a bad movie at all, it annoys me but I still watch it because its a heartfelt movie with a damn good message.

I just think cheapening it and trying to capitalize on it by making a cartoon from it is retarded. Can't mess with a good thing like that.

I loved the movie, and was very disappointed by this.

Actually, the first time I saw it, I wasn't sure what the hell was going on. Then I saw it a few more times, as I was still in college at the time and any excuse to skip class was a good one.

Then it became one of my favorite movies.

I was excited for this, and now I'm disappointed.

Saw the ads for the show during the NFL games on Fox over the weekend-- it had kind of a Beavis & Butthead vibe. Didn't seem like a particularly funny show though.
