Just read Bill Pearl's "Beyond the Universe" and Dave Draper's "Brother Iron Sister Steel".
Pearl - Strictly an early BB fan's book. Hundred's of cool pictures from the "golden era" of bodybuilding. No training info at all. Interesting to note that Pearl was a 12 3/4lb baby, has 12 EE feet and a head so big he has to buy custom hats - genetics helps.
Draper - Much more interesting. Lot's of personal stories from the Arnold/Zane era and tons of training info - routines, tips etc...Draper has changed his training almost zero since back in the day and still lists lifts like behind neck press that are death to most "adults". Nothing really inovative, but that's kind of his point. Even when he's just describing a lift he'll write something like "Wipe the seat from you're brow and grab the steel knuckle breaker...."I can't really imagine anyone into weights not liking this one.
I have Zane's book on order and plan on getting Pearl's "Keys to the Inner Universe" which illistrates 1800 exercises.
Pearl and Draper Books...
