I would like to add that M.I.A. flipping the bird may be one of the most shrewd media hi-jacks ever. Really what else would would you expect from someone who grew up in slums and clawed their way to success. Her song "Paper Planes" is one of my all time favorites. Gun shots as percussion and sampling the Clash at the same time.... very cleverly constructed song in my opinion.

I'm a fan of M.I.A as well.

Really great performance. And watch for the piano riff close to 4 minutes. This is very clever, tasteful stuff.
