Iran and AL-Quada, Like Jawa Chocolate and Peanut Butter!

Hmmmmmmmmm. I always take NewsMax with a grain of salt but this could be something to consider the next time you think we should just leave Iran alone to make Nukes and act like they have a big dick.

Shiites and Sunnis don't play well with each other. I find the story to be apocryphal.

This is my problem with the fixation on Iran: They are next door to a radical Muslim shithole with existing nuclear weapons that has very clear links to al Qaeda, shelter OBL, and sponsored the Taliban. It's not that I love the Ayatollah; I just think there are worse countries to worry about.

It raised an eyebrow when I heard that as well.cleaner464 wrote:Shiites and Sunnis don't play well with each other. I find the story to be apocryphal.
Much like the alleged connection between Al Queda and Saddam.

The link between Al Queda and Saddam's Iraq was limited, but real.VO2 maxed wrote:It raised an eyebrow when I heard that as well.cleaner464 wrote:Shiites and Sunnis don't play well with each other. I find the story to be apocryphal.

More importantly, intelligence agencies believed that a link between the two was a reasonable possibility-- even during the Clinton agency.
And the idea that Sunnis and Shiites won't work together is nonsense. Militants groups on either side will against a common enemy if they see it being mutually beneficial.

The link between al-Qaeda and the USA was stronger than the link between it and Iraq.
