Hmmmmmmmmm. I always take NewsMax with a grain of salt but this could be something to consider the next time you think we should just leave Iran alone to make Nukes and act like they have a big dick.

Shiites and Sunnis don't play well with each other. I find the story to be apocryphal.

This is my problem with the fixation on Iran: They are next door to a radical Muslim shithole with existing nuclear weapons that has very clear links to al Qaeda, shelter OBL, and sponsored the Taliban. It's not that I love the Ayatollah; I just think there are worse countries to worry about.

It raised an eyebrow when I heard that as well.
Much like the alleged connection between Al Queda and Saddam.

The link between Al Queda and Saddam's Iraq was limited, but real.

More importantly, intelligence agencies believed that a link between the two was a reasonable possibility-- even during the Clinton agency.

And the idea that Sunnis and Shiites won't work together is nonsense. Militants groups on either side will against a common enemy if they see it being mutually beneficial.

The link between al-Qaeda and the USA was stronger than the link between it and Iraq.
