Dan Inosanto played Sticks.
Would you rather learn from Steve or Rif? Plus how many RKCs actually live in their cars and bathe in streams and shit?

Dan Inosanto and Jeff Imada did a lot of important work in everything from Out For Justice to Big Trouble In Little China and all points in between.mtman1 wrote:Dan Inosanto played Sticks.

Re: ANYBODY SEEN RICHIE?
My favorite Segal movie of all time. An amazing piece of work.
Also notable for being the first time that Seagal tries to "act" and actually put some history and context into a character- there are at least 5 monologues shot over some other actor's shoulder, where he goes on for decades about some damn thing or another. They bring the movie to a screeching halt, but then the movie shakes it off, ties the shoelaces on its Pumas, and we're off to the races again.
My only other criticism is that William Forsythe is oddly unimpressive as Richie, and when Gino finally catches up to him, there's no tension or drama in the fight at all. Sure it's an epic ass-kicking, but Seagal just mows him down like a mouse under a rotary field mower. At least in "Marked For Death" and "Under Siege"the final fight had some back-and-forth in it.

Are you kidding me? That's a tour de force performance from Forsythe, who is a great actor by the way. Perhaps his finest role. I know what you're saying about the final fight, but it wouldn't have been realistic to have some overweight crackhead hold a candle to Gino who's been cracking heads all through the movie.

I like Forsythe...as a rule, he's great in the right roles.
I actually think Forsythe's best role (in any recent performance) was as the avenging lawman in "The Devil's Rejects". He really worked up some Olympian levels of wrath in that one. I almost felt sorry for the 3 "rejects" knowing what was coming for them.

Never saw that. Horror movies are too scary for me.

Nigga, that is some ACTING, right there.

Re: ANYBODY SEEN RICHIE?
Forsythe rules in this film. He's now playing an uber badass on Boardwalk Empire.
I still give the slight edge to Above the Law because of Pam Grier and Henry Silva although the fight scene in the pool hall in Out for Justice will always stand the test of time.
Gimme a six pack of seltzer.

I liked Forsythe as Sammy the Bull also.
Thanks, Fat Cat. I had never seen Out for Justice before. A great emptiness in my life has been eliminated!
