Weather extremes by city...
My town is second to Guadalupe Pass, TX as the windiest place in America. But no one lives on Guadalupe Pass. Therefore: we're #1!
Anybody got any records where they live?

I would have guessed the Palmdale/Lancaster area would be #1 on the windy list, but they're down in 4th or 5th place (Sandberg, CA).
For PA, Erie and Pittsburgh are surprisingly (to me) high up on the "least number of clear days" list.

It has been said that Minneapolis-St Paul is the coldest "major metropolitan area" in the USA, which is to say that if you set the cutoff for "major metropolitan area" right at the population of the metropolitan area, it can set a record.

Our weather is extremely mild.

I want to live where Mak lives. It's where I belong. There or Jamaica or some other Caribbean Island.

Livingston and the surrounding area is home to more professional writers, per capita, than San Francisco, New York City, or any other literary Mecca you’d care to name. In this corner of Montana known for its high density of literary talent you will find novelists, science fiction writers, adventure writers, screenwriters, journalists and more.

Isn't that constant wind a pain in the ass? Fuck just to go out for a walk has to be a beatdown.

This is a spectacular topic, and shows incredible imagination. Possibly only surpassed by a recent topic asking people their favorite color.

For windy locations, I'd pick Hood River, Oregon. One of the top wind surfer destinations in the world. I've seen these guys 6 to 8 feet over the water at times. The whole Columbia River gorge is a great spot to visit, there must be 15-20 waterfalls along the gorge.
