Maggotfest

Post by Jonny Canuck »

Maggotfest is an annual festival of rugby in the beginning of May in Missoula, Montana. This is one of the best celebrations of rugby I have ever attended. I think I have been to five Maggotfest's and look forward to returning this year. Just found out that the Outback Barbarians from Queensland will be making their third trip to fest this year. Looking forward to hanging out with them again.

Anyways, I know there are a few IGX ruggers and I want to see how many have heard of Maggotfest and how many have attended.

Haven't heard of if, but I live in Montana. If you're driving from the east, you'll pass my town. I'll buy you a beer or a cup of coffee. You have 250 miles to Missoula.

I'm in MT. Have a bunch of friends that go. Never went, personally.
My cousin is a redheaded german-mexican, we call him a beanerschnitzel

I live in the PNW. Saw a lot of Montana, Wyoming and Idaho a few years ago on a trip to to Yellowstone. Unbelievably beautiful country out there, and the PNW is no slouch when it comes to jaw-dropping scenery. Would love to make it to Glacier National Park eventually.

I was born in the PNW, plan on heading back that direction after my time in MT is finished. I like green trees, gray skies and lots of rain...what can I say.

Seeahill, I am driving from Spokane. No games in Bozeman this year but we do have a league game in Billings. Big drive for 80 minutes of rugby but we only have to do it once every 4 years.

Glacier is a beautiful park. I am spoiled because I grew up in Vancouver and lived in ski resorts in the BC interior and the Kootenays. I have also spent a lot of time in Banff and Jasper but Glacier is by far one of the coolest National Parks I have ever visited.

Actually heard of it, but never attended.

Nashbash, Midnight 7s in Vegas, Milwaukee 7s, Cherry Blossom in DC and St. Pats in Savannah were the ones I went to at least once.
