She calls and says "we have to talk." I go over there on Sunday morning. We have our talk and I say, "well, if you feel that way, let's call this whole thing off." Whereupon she smashes her heavy coffee cup on my knee. Snatches the glasses off my face and stomps them. Then she disappears out of her kitchen and into the garage. I think: no further good can come of me staying here. So I limp out the door. She's managed to hit that crazy bone part of the knee that makes the whole leg tingle. I look back and she's running out the door with a 2x4. I do not want to turn my back on her to get into my truck. So I turn to face her.

She swings at me but I stay out of range.

Meanwhile, the church across the way has just let out. People are standing watching and calling 911. The cops arrive presently --- 3 squad cars and 6 cops with nothing much to do on a Sunday morning. It was like an episode of "Cops" except we weren't drunk at night in a trailer park in Tucson. The cops finally cuffed her and took her away. There's a restraining order. Didn't stop her from calling me the other night and telling me what a dick I am.

I had an audiophile client years ago whose girlfriend, when she snapped (which was often) would hurl his speakers off the balcony of their 15th story apartment.

Eventually, after replacing and upgrading his speakers several times he went with a pair of PSB Stratus Gold that she couldn't even lift, let alone throw.
