One of the sickest action fighters ever. One of the biggest hearts boxing has seen in a long time. Better to remember on his birthday than on the day he died.
Eye of the tiger hili
Ridiculous fight.

Re: Remembering Arturo Gatti
he was game, and a great bleeder. he needed opponents who were at his level. like mickey ward.
mayweather just took him apart, like a twisted kid picking the wings off a fly.

One of the cruelest beatings I've seen. Good analogy. In the lead up to that fight, mayweather said he would embarrass him in front of his friends, family, fans etc if I remember right.dead man walking wrote:he was game, and a great bleeder. he needed opponents who were at his level. like mickey ward.

That was probably the fight when I realized I hated Mayweather.
Gatti had so many ridiculous, action, come from behind fights. Like Rocky, his best defensive maneuver was to stop a punch with his jaw.

Re: Remembering Arturo Gatti
Mayweather promised to embarrass him in front of his fans.. can't remember if he said friends and family as well.
I remember watching that and feeling slightly sick. There's something horrifying about watching a man humiliate himself over and over and over again, round after round.
Mayweather's response after was something along the lines of ''The fans wanted a show, and we gave them one''.

Mayweather is a useless piece of shit that I hear made some great statements about betting on dog fighting and other idiocy in the 24/7 opening episode this weekend.Beer Jew wrote:Mayweather promised to embarrass him in front of his fans.. can't remember if he said friends and family as well.

But, let's not let the thread get too sidetracked talking about that boot lip.
