Liberals hate guns. This statement should be qualified. It isn’t that leftists, Democrats, and libs of every stripe hate all guns. Specifically, they hate guns in the hands of conservatives, Republicans, Christians and libertarians. They hate guns possessed by men and women formerly of the U.S. military. They hate guns used to defend homes. They hate guns used to prevent rape.

Liberals hate guns that might be used to oppose their power-mad whims, their cradle-to-grave schemes for controlling every facet of your waking life. The old saying goes that the armed man is a citizen, while the unarmed man is a subject. Liberals hate citizens and adore subjects, for the latter are but a few meters of slippery slope removed from becoming serfs and slaves.

By contrast, liberals adore violence. They enjoy threatening the lives of policemen; they delight in intimidating, harassing and destroying the lives and livelihoods of any who speak out against them. The idea of forcing their enemies to obey them, the notion of bending to their wills all those benighted fools not swayed by liberals’ presumed enlightenment, thrills and excites them. In the Democrats’ utopia, it isn’t that guns – the most effective technology of self-defense yet invented – have been made to disappear. Rather, their possession is reserved for agents of the progressive state … and to those few liberal elites whose lives are deemed worth protecting (as opposed to the majority of mere mortals dumbly voting to keep Democrat tyrants in office).

Legally, this thing will come down to whether Zimmerman illegally followed/contacted Martin before the fight occurred. And Zimmerman seems to be the only surviving witness to the initial contact.

Politically, it's about preventing the incineration of multiple cities.

“He probably did as much to instigate this as anybody,” said Marsha Skipper, who lives next door.

Records from Mobile County Metro Jail show that Owens has been arrested numerous times. Levy detailed 3 violent confrontations he has been involved in since 2009.

In July of that year, Levy said, police took a report that someone hit Owens with a baseball bat. At that time witnesses told police that Owens yelled racial slurs and threats at a black man in the neighborhood. No one was charged in that incident, Levy said.

Parker said his brother-in-law was walking peacefully down the street at the time and that he was talking to himself but that assailant thought he was talking to him.

In an Oct. 29 incident, police said, a black man walking up the street asking for cigarettes eventually stopped at Owens’ home. An apparent disagreement ensued, and the man hit Owens in the face, police said.

Then on Dec. 16, Levy said, Owens was accused of fracturing the nose of a 53-yer-old white man after an argument.

Parker said Owens has been living with him and his wife but also stayed sometimes with another neighbor, helping care for the man as he recovered from an injury. That man, who asked that his name not be used, said he had allowed Owens to stay with him since the sister kicked him out of her house Thursday.

Parker confirmed that his wife and Owens had a disagreement.

Neighbor locked door

The neighbor said that, in order to stop the fight from spilling into his home, he locked his front door when the assailants arrived Saturday. He said a plastic lawn chair was broken and bloody after the fight.

The neighbor said Owens previously had been extremely angry at the children.

“He ran in here and got 2 butcher knives. I said, ‘What are you doing with these?’” he said. “He was in a rage.”

The neighbor said he does not know what Owens did with the knives but added that he does not believe they were a factor in the confrontation with the children or the subsequent beating.

The neighbor said he has friendly relations with black neighbors. But he added that several of the youths have caused problems, defying requests to move their portable basketball goals for motorists.

“The kids will not move,” he said.

Still, the neighbor said he has had issues with Owens, as well. He said he has called the police 4 times for what he described as “anger management” issues but declined to elaborate.

Another neighbor, who also asked to remain anonymous, said the black children have been “100 percent respectful” to him.

The neighbor, who is white, said, “Matthew has a lot of problems. I’ve been waiting for this to happen because that’s what he does. He’s pushed a number of people.”

The neighbor said he heard the fight but could not see it because trees blocked his view.

“We’ve never had a problem with the black people until (Saturday) night,” he said.

Skipper said she heard the beating outside her home but did not see it.

“I don’t know who did what to whom,” she said. “It’s a wonder somebody didn’t get killed.”

I wasn't being defensive - simply didn't think that anybody was claiming that.

However, a quick browse through headlines shows that I was incorrect.

The entire race shit is old and shouldn't receive the press that it does. I want to see stories of a guy being targeted because he's a shoe salesman or accountant or internet guru.

I find this post very offensive as I (twice) sold shoes to pay the bills and work as an internet anti-guru, but know a lot of supposed gurus. It's best if we (shoe salesmen, and those knowing internet gurus) are allowed to toil in anonymity while the nigs, crackers, beaners, slopes, hebes and gypsies all work to undermine each other while taking turns committing senseless acts of violence against one another with weak justifications for said violence.

Trayvon was not disciplined because of the discovery, but was instead suspended for graffiti, according to the report. School police impounded the jewelry and sent photos of the items to detectives at Miami-Dade police for further investigation.

A lawyer for the dead teen’s family acknowledged Trayvon had been suspended for graffiti, but said the family knew nothing about the jewelry and the screwdriver.

While in hiding before he was charged with the murder of Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman set up a personal website to collect donations. It was shut-down earlier this week.

But, according to his attorney Mark O’Mara speaking on Anderson Cooper 360, Zimmerman’s defense fund collected $200,000 while it was up!
