Actually the big recent drops in funding for these social services started happening in 94 (two years or so before crime started to drop. Try again-- it's a little more complex than the picture you get at your SEIU meetings.

Turd, please explain why American society is so fucked up. Break it down for me so I can have a better understanding. There must be some reason why America has the highest incarceration rate in the world? I don't need links, just gimme some bullet points of your observations and hypothesis. I won't argue with you either. Please also note your predictions for future trends regarding the crime rate and sentencing etc. one question to consider is why are states like Oklahoma, Louisiana and Mississippi leading the country in incarcerations while Maine, Minnesota and New Hampshire have the least.

Did you expect gangs of toddlers terrorizing cities? Reductions in social services and removing options like abortions from the table isn't going to be felt for years down the line.

1. There's very little talk about making abortion illegal in the areas with the highest crime, it's more about cutting public funding for it.
