Whether Tapia boxed or not, he was bound to have a tragic ending to his life.

It's a true tragedy, but there have been a few write ups lately about him always being in a great mood, hugging everyone when he saw them... demons, but sounded like a great guy.

Goodness. I didn't know about his early life. I hope he has peace now.

I don't recall Tapia having really devastating punching power, but I remember him being a tough guy with a strong fighting spirit. RIP.

I don't follow the sport that closely but remember watching him and being impressed.
