@F will eventually be studied in business and/or legal schools as an example of how to go about losing a trademark.

And even more co-opting...
And while this image links to the Warrior Dash website, I imagine it means Reebok "Sport of Fitness" certifications are on their way...

Unfortunately, I saw that on FB. I'm surprised you didn't offer @fit Michibilly as a potential name. The zeal of the recently converted is staggering.Shafpocalypse Now wrote:My buddy just got certed...it's a bit painful to watch the gunhoiness.
I guess it never really took with me because my only reaction to the Level I cert was, "That's it?...Seriously??" And I took it in the days when couch actually showed up.
In fact, my only take away from that cert was that couch was the first and only person I ever heard use the word "cunt" in mixed company at a supposedly professional seminar.
Classy.

Shit, man, I confess I don't know whom you are on the bookie de face. He's gung ho anyway. I cringe a bit because at 29 or so, I might have jumped feet first into that shit myself. Nowadays, I don't necessarily claim to know better, but I like to do shit almost every day, so crippling workouts are few and far between.

Haha, after looking at the store again, I couldn't help but notice that Reebok got rid of ALL their @F models. It was obviously a ploy in the beginning to relate to the @F world, and that time has come and gone.Steggy wrote:I can't believe some guy would wear these.

Re: The couch thread
Serious question; Has BMac coached anyone at an elite level in anything? I'm talking about an actual winner or at least a top 3 finisher in some kind of judged and sanctioned event, not some back of the pack plodder who might have shaved a couple of minutes off a 10KShafpocalypse Now wrote:BMACK's BOOK on preorder

World-renowned. WORLD.
Nobody would put that unless they actually were renowned.

Pre-order means it doesn't have to be done yet. What's the current odds on DNFing the book?

Re: The couch thread
Someone should remind BMacNCheez that one only gets to refer to themselves as "triathlete" or "ultramarathoner" if they have done one within the last year.
Fixed for correct tense. He WAS also an ultra marathon and ironman competitor.

Re: The couch thread
WOW this douche can do it all! I don't think the section on recovery will be all that detailed though something about stopping after 10 minutes seems like it would be a very short chapter. In this book, you will learn how to:
Accelerate work capacity and minimize fatigue by building muscle, speed, and power Incorporate a sport specific strength and conditioning program into your training routine Develop proper running, cycling, and swimming mechanics Maximize nutrition to improve performance and body composition Prevent and treat nagging injuries associated with endurance athletes Avoid bonking and over-come plateaus in training and competition Recover after an event

Re: The couch thread
Pathetic weakling on Crossfit Forum wants to know how to get stronger. It's the CF Forums so all answers are from pathetic weaklings:
Later states his strength gains are good. With those gaymazing gains I wonder if the guy was following his own advice. Women weighing 20# less than him have better numbers. It's simple. You have to make strength a priority. Do strength first. Get on a good program. I like 531. Then follow it with a light metcon ( less than 15 min) a few days a week. And eat like you mean it. Red meat , eggs, rice, and oats. Done.
I started doing this and I went from 195 lbs. with these numbers
Bench 250
Squat 276
Dead 305
Press 129
Now, roughly a year later I weigh 213 and these are my numbers
Bench 285
Squat 332
Dead 360
Press 175
