Family is leaving town for two weeks, so I am free to go see a movie that is racier than PG and is not a chick flick. Which should I see first?

Avengers first, got to keep things in alphabetical order...

Two totally different movies.

But Steggy is correct. Avengers first. Don't expect Alien(s) when you see Prometheus.

No way Avengers is racier than PG.

Prometheus is where it's at for sure between those 2 choices and that criteria.

Avenger's..good.Prometheus...meh .

Avengers was excellent. Very enjoyable. Haven't seen Prometheus yet.

Avengers 100%. Everyone who has seen it can agree it is worth the money spent.

Prometheus was awful. Barely coherent plot line, characters behaving totally irrational for no other reason than to advance the story that makes no sense anyways, no real main character, so much implied shit I had to go spend 30 min reading when I got home to even understand what they were trying to get at. I am a big fan of the Alien/Predator franchise, but have never read the comics or anything so I didn't have any preconceived ideas about what to expect. But compared to all the previous movies I was grossly disappointed. The whole movie didn't even fit into a genre, it wasn't exactly a suspense thriller, wasn't exactly a horror, wasn't exactly a cerebral type movie, wasn't exactly action adventure. It was like crossfit, it tried to diversify to much and just ended up sucking at everything.

To say that a film doesn't fit a genre isn't the most damning of criticisms.

See Prometheus by yourself and take the kids to Avengers.

OK, saw Avengers. As super hero movies goes it was pretty good. a mega-shit-ton better than the Green Lantern. Nowhere close to the last Batman movie or the second Spiderman. I do get tired of the endless stuff getting blown up and thrown around, and was getting bored at the 2 hour mark. For all the huge mechanicals crashing into buildings and giant hovering aircraft carriers on fire, the absolute best scene in the movie is The Hulk slamming Loki around, followed by most of Tony Stark's dialog.

I thought all of the characters were well acted.

To top it off, some buffoons in the back of the theatre kept talking continuously during the movie. I was getting close to going back and WTF-ing them, as it was interfering with my getting into the scene where Black Widow and Hawkeye are almost about to get it on. glad I didn't, cuz when the lights came up turns out they were a couple of special needs lads just getting their fanboy on.

When "racy" is either a superhero movie or a scifi flick, I worry for the future of the male species.
