Corgan thought he could do it all himself but he never succeeded nearly as much as he did when he had that Jap guitarist, chick bassist, etc.

I'm not sure...in truth I was never a big Smashing Pumpkins fan. When they were big I was more of a Black Flag/Wu Tang listening drunken skater punk.
I thought the interview was good so I gave the album a listen and liked it. It will be one my wife and kids won't mind hearing while we're in the car, and if that's not a ringing endorsement for a rock album, I don't know what is!

I heard that interview as well. Thought the one song they played sounded good. I'll sample the album tonight. I thought he gave a good interview. He is an interesting but also very "out there" dude.
