We had an old guy, retired at 72 about a year ago. He could blow the horn for crossings in his sleep.Holeyfraggaroley wrote:We had a CPRR crew run into each other. Blew through a signal and didn't hear the radio. Engineer jumped off the train and ran away. They suspect he was sleeping and hitting the button. Talented.

You fuckers are killing me.
I was on a train all day.
Never killed a hobo, 88 mph is the magic number, never seen anyone get cut up, I don't give hobos any shit and let them ride so long as they don't fuck with anything. Damn what did I miss?
Story I'm getting on the collision is auto train was running 30 mph lined for the siding, Z train blew through the signal at 68, never adjusted the throttle or set any air. Crew members on the Z train were found in the cab. Conductor and engineer on the auto train jumped. Engineer was crushed by the second motor, conductor tucked, rolled, and came up running
Unstoppable is based on an actual situation on the CSX, there's an entry in Wikipedia about it. I've never seen the movie, the trailer was stupid enough,

Not illegal to put a penny on the tracks but you are guilty of trespassing. A spike won't cause a derailment but it turns into a high speed projectile when a wheel hits it.
The Hulk could buttfuck a train to death.

This seriously has the makings of a good story problem.Ed Zachary wrote:Story I'm getting on the collision is auto train was running 30 mph lined for the siding, Z train blew through the signal at 68, never adjusted the throttle or set any air.
