Nah. Bad deal. Either a Texas or Kansas crew.

We had a CPRR crew run into each other. Blew through a signal and didn't hear the radio. Engineer jumped off the train and ran away. They suspect he was sleeping and hitting the button. Talented.

We had an old guy, retired at 72 about a year ago. He could blow the horn for crossings in his sleep.Holeyfraggaroley wrote:We had a CPRR crew run into each other. This reminds me of the old saying, "If you've got two trains on the track, make sure they're going opposite directions."

EZ we need to talk about this shit. Has there been any hobo riding your train like Lee Marvin did in "Emperor of the North"?
Re: Hey EZ, you're not caught up in this are you?
EZ, have you ever driven a train with cars full of circus animals like the beginning of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade? Have you ever seen people running across the tops of the cars with bullwhips and pistols?

Where the fuck is that country fried fuckstick? We need these answers now godamnit! Moar train stories!! I wonder if he's seen anyone get a limb cut off cuz they fell on the tracks when the train was going by. I saw a grain truck get hit by a train one time.
Re: Hey EZ, you're not caught up in this are you?
EZ, is it really illegal to put a penny on a railroad track? And if I put a railroad spike across a track, will it really cause a derailment???

Re: Hey EZ, you're not caught up in this are you?
LOL
You fuckers are killing me.
I was on a train all day.
Never killed a hobo, 88 mph is the magic number, never seen anyone get cut up, I don't give hobos any shit and let them ride so long as they don't fuck with anything. Damn what did I miss?
Story I'm getting on the collision is auto train was running 30 mph lined for the siding, Z train blew through the signal at 68, never adjusted the throttle or set any air. Crew members on the Z train were found in the cab. Conductor and engineer on the auto train jumped. Engineer was crushed by the second motor, conductor tucked, rolled, and came up running
Unstoppable is based on an actual situation on the CSX, there's an entry in Wikipedia about it. I've never seen the movie, the trailer was stupid enough,

Never ran a circus train or seen anyone run on top of the cars.
Not illegal to put a penny on the tracks but you are guilty of trespassing. A spike won't cause a derailment but it turns into a high speed projectile when a wheel hits it.
The Hulk could buttfuck a train to death.

Re: Hey EZ, you're not caught up in this are you?
We had a train hit a drunk that decided to lay his head down on the rail to take a nap. Kicker was, that the cops had detained him and kicked him out of the squad car after he barfed in it. I had to do the inspection on the engine. I thought I might find parts...

This seriously has the makings of a good story problem.Ed Zachary wrote:Story I'm getting on the collision is auto train was running 30 mph lined for the siding, Z train blew through the signal at 68, never adjusted the throttle or set any air.
