The Newsroom

I like it. Sorkins not really my favorite, but I like the concept of this, the pace of the show, and the acting is alright. The old law and order guy is in it and his character is pretty good.

Glad to hear it. I Tivo'd it, haven't watched yet.

I'm a huge Sorkin fan from back in the Sportsnight era, loved the first 4 yrs of West Wing. But Studio 60 was seriously disappointing. He's reinvented himself the last few years, with 3 successful movie scripts, so I'm hoping his return to show-running is awesome.

The only way to make a show about TV journalists interesting is to make it unrealistic. Much like Sorkin's Nobel laureate President.

I always feel conflicted about Sorkin. I think that he's a raging douchebag whenever I have seen him interviewed. Big, big dipshit.

I think that the messages he tries to convey are pretty fucking worthless. However, his characters are always quick witted, snarky assholes, which I can appreciate.

So, it's kind of like his stories suck, but the characters he develops to tell these shitty stories tend to bail him out. If that makes sense.

I heard about that.
I turned my back on this steaming pile of shit a month ago. Even the banter and snark couldn't bail out this train wreck.

I wanted to like it, it had a few moments. But I pretty much wanted to strangle every female character on the show. They were all Donna from WW.
