Re: REKANIZE HARD CORE
I met Paul Bearer at an Oi fest in DC. He talked about dragging his bar-b-que to a Shelter show and cooking up steaks. I think he said he was living in Kansas City at the time. Funny guy. The documentary on him/Sheer Terror is decent.

Bedlam, have you heard the Ben Nichols EP "Last Pale Light in the West"?
It's a country album based off of the characters in Blood Meridian. He does a pretty good job with it.

Gotta admit, I like CoC much better now than I did when they were a hardcore band. They've put out some great music over the last 15 years or so.Fat Cat wrote:

Whoa...Sorry Fuzzy, I didn't see this post. I hadn't heard of the album. I'm listening to one of the songs right now and it is pretty good. Blood Meridian is one of my favorite books, makes me feel like the desert and violence in my head isn't a personal thing so much as it is a part of the human fabric.ButterCupPowerRanch wrote:Bedlam, have you heard the Ben Nichols EP "Last Pale Light in the West"?

I'm on my phone and won't have a computer for the next couple of days, so I can't link it, but he promoted that album on NPR a while back. They have it archived on the web, it's a good interview and the live performances are good too.

Yea, that turns me off to them a bit. I think they'd be more popular if they weren't such fuckin god weirdos, but to each his own. I still like the music. Maybe it doesn't speak to me like Blood for Blood but look at what a piece of shit that guy was.Fat Cat wrote:Christian hardcore? Not sure if serious?
Plus, not so sure that Christianity is any worse than the rampant sXe or veganism.

What a punk!
Former Cro-Mags bassist Harley Flanagan entered the rock ’n’ roll feud Hall of Fame Friday night when he showed up at the CBGB Festival at Webster Hall with a hunting knife — and his own sharp teeth.
