Sharks..they are scary.

Post by Blaidd Drwg »

The horrifying attack occurred shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday morning and was witnessed by Matt Holmes, another surfer who was towing a friend into nearby waves with his jetski. Holmes told 10 News in Australia the shark looked “like it was eating a seal. It just threw its body out of the water for this guy. I turned and looked back at my mate, and I just thought, ‘is this real?’”

After Holmes rushed his own friend to safety, he raced back out into the surf with Linden’s buddy, whom he’d never met. They spotted Linden’s body in the bloody water and tried to retrieve it, but the massive shark was still circling, and turned on them, even bumping the ski. Holmes told reporters, “I don’t know if it was trying to knock me off or just keep me from the body…but I did another loop, and when I came back to the body, the shark took it.”

It appears obvious to me...THEY ALL ARE.

Exterminate the brutes.

People had seen this shark lurking around. They even gave him a nickname, Brutus because he was so big.

You know that there is a giant man eating ambush predator with a huge mouth full of razor blades nearby, and you still decide to go splash around blindly in his environment. WTF Aussies?

Surfing must be pretty fucking awesome to risk that.

I live in Perth and sharks are all over the news with the amount of attacks in the last year.
but it won't stop me going swimming at the beach, as there has never been a swimmer eaten at a patrolled beach during the day

Generally its:
Surfers around the corner from a seal colony
Surfers at beaches with names like "the graveyard", Shark Bay, etc
Snorkelers/Divers in remote locations
1 guy swimming for fitness at 6am on a murky day (this was the only one at a main beach )
another guy swimming 350m from shore, on the same beach where above swimmer was eaten

http://www.perthnow.com.au/news/western ... 6426020415

it's a risk you take entering the water, but just like looking before crossing the road you can make that risk minimal

Surfers tend not to be the brightest stars in the gene pool.

Fuckin' A sharks rule! Imagine if they could stay outta water for a little bit and maybe even sing. How cool would it be if Guns N' Roses got back together and a 20 foot great white shark is standing there wailing, WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE, WE'VE GOT FUN AND GAMES...and Slash is fucking gettin' after it on that guitar. And then every once in awhile the shark just reaches down and chomps on a few people who weren't paying attention. Fuck I'd go to that concert in a heartbeat.
