Depends upon how the two young men reacted to being confronted. Were they there for money or for money and some "payback"? Sounds like things worked out pretty well. They left with some lead in them and no money.

I would have rather that they found an honest living.

If no one had resisted everyone could have been herded into a back room and massacred. That has happened, usually in restaurants where folks are herded into the Cooler and shot in the back of the head.

We could adopt the "solution" of disarming everyone. Last I read Scotland has a per capital murder rate of 6.0 per 100,000. In much of the US the rate is 5.5 per 100,000. I guess if you consider being shanked better than being shot we can call that "progress". Right?
