I read that it's a running joke amongst the athletes, so they just take as many free condoms as possible to keep the myth alive

If I were at the olympics as an athlete, I would look to start off fucking athletes from obscure sports that don't get any attention. It's a sure thing. No attention from the press = seriously freaky, butt fuckin' goodness with some chick from Ukraine who plays badminton or something and is all repressed and starving for attention.
