**brief back-story:
...lived in Houston, TX every summer for 15 years. Had friends in Amarillo, Dallas / FT. Worth, everywhere. EVERYBODY was armed. Remember that movie "Tremors" ? Reba McIntyre and that guy from Family Ties played the survivalist couple with the arsenal in their basement? Yeah, LOTS of folks like that out there where the stars at night are big and bright.

I don't have any moral qualms about owning firearms. Never have. But any time somebody jokes around about Texans and their enthusiasm for their guns, I think about that and laugh my ass off.
