After those shitty bailout Superbowl commercials he did celebrating the auto bailout, having him at the convention highlights the hypocrisy of the Republican party's calls for small government.

That's still incomplete. The platform is small government for poor people, most taxpayers, and businesses that are not politically well-connected. Then big government for retirees, foreign policy, gays, women, and businesses that are politically well-connected.
