Introduction (to be polite and all)
Post by CrapSammich »
I am given to understand that an IGX introduction is good form, so instead of my usual lurking, here goes. . . .
My obese BMI compelled me to restrict calories and start working out on my own at the gym. Years later, I'm stronger and leaner and less angry.
But I'm also older (44) and creakier, trying to break bad self-taught lifting habits, and struggling with hip pain (bursitis? Months' worth of PT visits and a few frustrating ortho visits. Less pain, but pain nonetheless.). So while Dan John has been ACCUSED of having no squat, I literally have no squat. And it's driving me insane.
I started powerlifting classes a few months ago and am now working on my first cycle of Wendler's 5-3-1 on my own (except for squats). My most modest of year-end goals are to add 10% to my bench and deadlift (both are do-able), and to do a pain-free squat with an empty bar, which I despair may never happen: my PT actually told me never to squat again or do any hip-loading weight lifting.
My last goal was to read the entire Couch Thread for the hate and the lulz, which I accomplished in a month. The last few hundred pages I read in hard copy during power outages in the wake of a hurricane. I don't know if that makes me disciplined, pathetic, stupid, or all of the above.

Welcome Crappy.
Glad you made it our way. Don't forget to enjoy the white women thread and the Christmas cookie thread they should put a smile on your face when you're frowning about your squat... Well Unless you're a fag.
You'll probably get a PM from brother Shape about a camping trip, it's mandatory so don't mess it up.

Your mom says "no". At least I think that's what she said. She had her mouth full at the time. And she was having rigourous sexual intercourse with a noisy donkey.Fat Cat wrote:Does it get lonely being the only bitch?Gorbachev wrote:Welcome! Delighted to see exactly the sort of response I expected: multiple references to bestiality, an undoubtedly NSFW link, reference to the camping trip initiation, questions about race, an imperative to leave, an ultimatum to post tits or GTFO. And a cordial welcome from Syaigh.
So baffled, I'm colored sort of a pasty pink. Fat Cat, I'm rarely the ONLY bitch (I choose my company wisely). And Holeyfraggaroley, I wouldn't dare attempt to compete with the IGX experts who've been honing their [how you say?] appreciation of . . . the female form for years now.
