Well, that sucks. But it happened. Now the Libyan government owes us big, and I say use this opportunity to draw the Libyan government into our sphere. They are not in any position to say no to us now.

Not sure I agree with you on that, although the idea would be nice. Foreign governments have a million and one ways to say no to us, and the government may not be very stable.

Politically, Fats may be correct but I can't help thinking we could afford to some satellite time, and a few CIA "analysts". I fell "the way forward" should be right through a wet of smear of dead protesters.

The officials said that there were indications that members of a militant faction calling itself Ansar al Sharia - which translates as Supporters of Islamic Law - may have been involved in organizing the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya's second-largest city.
