It looks to me like BB is trying to protect his country from an existential threat. Every country has that right, even one as hated as Israel. And, I do believe that Israel probably is the least bad country in the area, but that has nothing to do with the Old Testament and everything to do with muslim maniacal behavior which is evidenced in the news almost daily.
