I'm sure there are cheaper, or even free, resources out there. I like this though.
It seems kind of goofy doing some of the stuff, but my low back hasn't had the least bit of pain for the last several weeks while I've been doing this shit.
If you get it, try and piece it together from various sources, like getting the DVD one place, book the other. Or just get the DVD. The shipping is something retarded if you get the bundle at the site.

Think of Yoga for Regular Guys, only with the emphasis on extension instead of flexion (hence the value for people like Lance Armstrong). Plenty of free video samples available on their site and on YouTube if you want to get a feel for what they do - should be enough to either pique your interest or convince you to save your money. I'm still incoporating Sonnon's "Recuper8" into my mobility routine, so I haven't had time to buy or check the DVD myself.

Got the book this weekend. I'm thoroughly impressed. It could give lots of good data and be poorly designed or laid out with bad photos, and still have value. This book is VERY well laid out. Photos are great. They overlap the muscle structure on to the fitness model to show the muscle groups activity. It's progressive through three levels.
Fundamentally the authors claim that poking, stretching and attacking the psoas group and building up the abdominals is the WRONG approach. [the foundation of much yoga, pilates, etc]
They focus on actually building muscle around the spine. The reaction of the iliopsoas [tightened] is a symptom of the back being weak.
Lot's of testimony/anecdote,.. but the professional athletes all had teams of trainers, coaches, therapists and doctors and were still jacked up.... The Foundation just approaches it a bit differently.
The program builds on the basics and they emphasize reprogramming movement by strengthening the correct chain of muscles. Not revolutionary.. but very focused, concise. The two "bonus" moves are very good for relaxing the hips and IT bands.
I bought mine on Amazon at discount. One of the best books I've read on back care,.. but really, body maintenance.
I will be including these drill in my training and those of my clients.
