Its too bad that people use free speech to act like complete assholes. I'm glad we all have the right. I'm not glad a lot of us are creepy assholes and feel they should be able to indulge that at the expense of others. But then again, we have the right to bear arms and shoot creepy motherfuckers we find threatening as well. So, I guess it all evens out.

Y'all can get high handed about what happened to this guy. But as he said in his "interview", he simply took images that were already out there (facebook or whatever) and reposted them on his jailbait site. Everyone says that's absolutely terrible and I would agree. But are you telling me everyone who appeared on the Couch Thread was ok with it? Anyone on any of the other pron threads that are curated and grown so prolifically here also potentially upset to be there? Is it the fact that someone is 15 or 17 or 26 or 18 that makes one totally ok and the other not? Or is there something in all of this to give everyone pause for thought? Not in a "you might get caught / outed" way, but in a "what the fuck is really going on here and what I am doing" way?

The whole point of dangerously free speech is that it's dangerous. I find much more to applaud in the hive mind of reddit, chan4 et al than to worry about. There's even a net value in the collective discomfort we all have when people are totally honest. It's the reason this place exists for fuck's sake.

One could argue that there is nothing wrong with reposting pictures that are already out there. And there probably isn't. But Creepshots is not that:

David Stevens is a registered sex offended for raping a 5-year-old relative in 1998. He has a lengthy criminal history that includes shoplifting. Deputies said he was recently released off probation and parole.

The little girl at the gas station told deputies she knew Stevens was taking pictures of her, but she didn't know what to do. The girl said she got home and threw her skirt away because she never wanted to see it again.

I don't know any of these sites. Once another person in this world knows your handle, you are no longer anonymous. He pulled too much shit to leave all the clues he did.
