Lincoln
If you're a real Civil War history buff, or really into politics you might enjoy it more than I did. I saw it with the wife and was somewhat disappointed. I'm not sure what I expected, but I just expected more. Daniel Day Lewis does a good job from what I could tell. He comes across as what a guy who really knows fuck all about Honest Abe would expect Lincoln to be like. The movie centers around Lincoln doing whatever he has to to get the 13th Amendment passed. An OK movie, but pretty boring, really.

This isn't one of those bullshit movies where the hero dies, is it?

Re: Lincoln
Powerful movie. Great Lincoln. Makes Civil War House of Representative and politics come alive. Interesting portrayal of how to persuade. Seemed accurate historically.

Which reminds me of a poem...
Whatever Spiteful fools may Say --
Each jealous, ranting yelper --
No woman ever played the whore
Unless She had a man to help her.
Written by Abe himself.
