Real question for HH. Just came back from my run - it was pouring rain out btw - and I saw 2 Orthodox Jews standing on a corner. They flagged me down and said "are you Jewish?" - to which I replied... no. And they said nevermind.


Thought it was kinda bizarre and wondered if it has to do with a Chanukah tradition and why they'd be in the rain.

Oy! I subletted a co-op for two years on 67th road off of Queens Blvd and my building was at least 90% Jew. BTW, not far from there is Ben's Best Jewish Deli....hands down the greatest Jewish deli in NYC, yet little known. Former mayor Ed Koch's favorite deli....you'd think he would know.

Jackson Heights to Forest Hills has got to be a 20 mile round trip run, no?
