I'm interested in what Hebrew Hammer thinks his appointment says about O's true feelings about Israel.

I have a problem with someone who votes to go to war and then turns around later and votes against reinforcments.
Kinda liike picking a fight and then bitching out about the extra yard.
The fact that he's a vet of a war fucked because of half measures and listening to the chatter of cunts makes it worse, not better.
And I really dont want a Sec Def who does not take Iran seriously as a threat to us.
This is the kind of guy who people think the Bildaberger's are.

One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

I don't really give a shit, but if HH hates him, I'm good with him.
Anyone who may push Israel to get off the teat and stop freaking about Iran is good with me.

He's a good pick. GOP would hate on whoever is selected by BHO.
He's a vet, non-batshit crazy Republican who isn't a war monger. His problem is he has said some fairly sensible comments on Israel, which is rare in DC.

His issue is that he was a long-time Senator-- if he pissed off a lot of other Senators in his time there he's out; if he didn't he's in.Terry B. wrote:His problem is he has said some fairly sensible comments on Israel, which is rare in DC.

It's pretty messed up that we need to give a damn about what any other country says about our internal cabinet members.
Granted we've done it to other countries in the past but doesn't make it right.
Parting with the rightist government's reticence were two relatively junior officials, Civil Defence Minister Avi Dichter and Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon, neither of whom is expected to stay on after Israel's national election on Jan. 22.
"There have already been nominations in the past which looked very troubling to us, and ultimately reality turned out totally differently, both for better and for worse," Dichter told Israel Radio in an interview.

I don't ever remember hearing anything bad about him but if he pissed off people behind closed doors, you are right that he doesn't have a chance.Turdacious wrote:His issue is that he was a long-time Senator-- if he pissed off a lot of other Senators in his time there he's out; if he didn't he's in.Terry B. wrote:His problem is he has said some fairly sensible comments on Israel, which is rare in DC.

Yet more proof of the inordinate influence of the Israeli lobby in the US. Disgusting to watch our leaders kowtow.
