This tip was posted here about a year ago and I'm here to testify that's 100% legit with the jeans. I shave 5-6x per week and have been through maybe 5 cartridges since that first posted here. So I'd guess one every 8-10 weeks. I have Mach374 or whatever Gillette's most recent version is.

+1. I don't use the tip as often as I should to satisfy my cheap nature. I think Shaf posted it originally.

Some guy has been using the same cartridge for 22 months with this trick.

Tip of the year. I just dropped nearly 20€ for four blades, at that price this makes a difference.

Real powerbears do it this way. It gets me around half a year per blade by doing this and I don't need to have my jeans in the shower.

I use el-cheapo single blades and use soap as my shaving cream. Highly tactical and works fine. When they dull out I give them to my wife to use, as new razors are too sharp for leg shaving (she tells me).

But now I have a new tool in my shaving quiver. Looking forward to trying it.

OK, I'm finding the leg/arm thing doesn't work for shit. Anyone else?

I use Xtreme 3, the jean tip works better than the arm, but the arm does work.

A soft leather jacket might be best, or even an belt.

I get about 2-3x as many good shaves out of it, but will still toss them when they start to drag a bit

I've found the same thing. Shaving less often continues to be my favorite method of extending the life of my razors.

Why the fuck are you shaving to begin with?

we have these color accent tiles in the shower that dont have a smooth finish. I have been using that and have not changed blades since Oct.

I've come to realize I don't like having a beard and hair as much as I'm just too fucking lazy to shave and cut my hair all the time.

Same cartridge since early September, but I find the arm trick works better than the jeans. (I use the hairless forearm part FWIW.)

Arm thing continues to work for me. It takes me more than a year to go through a pack of razors now.

I think you have to start on day 1 with a new razor for,the best results
