My iPod suddenly stopped syncing a bunch of music for no apparent reason. Nothing has changed. Just, one day it wouldn't sync a bunch of stuff anymore. The music still shows up in iTunes. I can play it in iTunes on the desktop computer. The songs show up in a playlist. But when I sync it, more than half the songs don't show up on my iPod. I tried it with a second iPOd and the songs wouldn't sync to that one either.
The songs weren't deleted from my computer. They're still showing up in iTunes. They just won't sync to the iPods. The only songs I"m having problems with are songs that I previously ripped from CDs. Anything I bought on Amazon, bandcamp etc still shows up. It's only ripped songs that are missing.

Go to the preferences tab when you have your iPods are plugged in and see that you haven't checked "sync only checked songs" or something like that. Also, have you checked "manually manage music"?protobuilder wrote:My iPod suddenly stopped syncing a bunch of music for no apparent reason. Nothing has changed. If this doesn't work, try unplugging your modem at home and staying off the Internet for a few weeks - come back and things should be fine.
Alternatively, send me your iTunes password and I could look around and make things nice for you, m8.
