Black-n-purpa, black-n-purpa, black-n-purpa
Traveling on business this fine Monday morning after the Supra Bowl. Flying out of the lovely Jackson, MS Medgar Wiley Evars International Airport (named after some nigger that got shot), I was accompanied by a veritable posse of Baltimore Ravens fans (New Orleans is two hours from here).
Random observations...
1. Seeing a 13yo white girl in a Ray Lewis jersey is the height of irony. Do her parents know about this nigger's sordid history and train wreck of a personal life. For shame.
2. Some big white bitch pushing 300# swagged the fuck out from head to toe in black-n-purpa...in her wheelchair.
3. The signature Ravens fan look appears to be a one-two sexy combo of Ray Lewis jersey and type 2 beetus.
4. I sat next to the King of All Raven Fans on the flight...decked out in that BNP and smelling like a brewery. I would have changed seats but I had an ethical responsibility to remain seated near the emergency exit door...I was one of only three people on the plane fit and sober enough to remove the exit door and the other two guys were flying the motherfucker.
5. None of these people appeared to be heading home to gainful employment, except for the pencil necked white attorneys who were joking about who they were billing right now.

It appears you've obtained a rigorous, scientific sample of Ravens fans.

I'm sure Raiders fans will be all class, if they ever get back to a super bowl.

These observations describe most NFL fan bases.

If the Raiders ever get back tot he Super Bowl, let alone actually win it, they'll burn the Coliseum.DikTracy6000 wrote:I'm sure Raiders fans will be all class, if they ever get back to a super bowl.

Sooth. Only people at rock bottom subsume their identity in favor of supporting a professional sports team.

I went to a couple games when the Giants played at the A's during interleague play and couldn't get over how shitty that stadium is.
The Oracle or O.co or whatever the fuck it is that the Warriors play in is awful too, but the actual Roman Coliseum is in better shape than the hell hole the Raiders and A's play in.

You from the Bay Area? If not, what in the fuck possessed you to be a Raiders fan?Godshammer wrote:As a 20+ year Raiders fan, I eagerly await that day...baffled wrote:If the Raiders ever get back tot he Super Bowl, let alone actually win it, they'll burn the Coliseum.DikTracy6000 wrote:I'm sure Raiders fans will be all class, if they ever get back to a super bowl.

Hah. I'm from Indiana. I met my best friend in '88 or so when we were in 7th grade. I grew up in the country with no cable and they had an old school satellite dish so I watch Raiders games with him and his old man and the rest is history.baffled wrote:You from the Bay Area? Re: Black-n-purpa, black-n-purpa, black-n-purpa
I happened to be in the Inner Harbor area of Baltimore today. Fortunately, I managed to avoid most of the monster traffic. The city was awash in black-n-purpa. I wasn't in the middle of it but what I saw was orderly and everyone seemed happy as hell. All G_d's people seemed to set aside their differences to honor the Ray-vens (which I saw on many signs).

Believe it or not it's probably my favorite stadium to watch a baseball game at, as long as the A's aren't that good: tickets are dirt cheap from the guys in the white tees; you can always get a better seat than you paid for; you see the relief pitchers warm up; you get the Voice of God; and (except for Cards fans) the most knowledgeable fans in baseball. Better food than at most stadiums too.baffled wrote:I'm by that area at least once a week.Turdacious wrote:You mean no more Mt. Davis? We used to sit in the $10 bleacher seats and eat dollar dogs and get friends with fake IDs to buy dollar beers. So shitfaced and stuffed.Turdacious wrote:Believe it or not it's probably my favorite stadium to watch a baseball game at, as long as the A's aren't that good: tickets are dirt cheap from the guys in the white tees; you can always get a better seat than you paid for; you see the relief pitchers warm up; you get the Voice of God; and (except for Cards fans) the most knowledgeable fans in baseball. Ever attend a Giants game in the old Candlestick Park? Back in the late 80s and early 90s the outfield seats were a fucking mad house. Huge drunken brawls in the stands over home run balls or just because. If my memory is correct, the entire outfield seating section was fenced off from the rest of the Park to keep the drunks and animals from bothering decent folks.baffled wrote:We used to sit in the $10 bleacher seats and eat dollar dogs and get friends with fake IDs to buy dollar beers. Once after a huge brawl over home run ball, in the area between the outfield fence and the stands, some poor snuck got knocked the fuck out and it only took the park authorities 2 or 3 innings to notice the dude laid out cold.

Yup, but back then we used to sit in the luxury boxes. Some closer-than-family type friends have had box seats to both the Giants and Sharks for 20+ years.Batboy2/75 wrote:Ever attend a Giants game in the old Candlestick Park? We used to sit up there and watch those crazy assholes from what felt like a guard tower at an asylum. At&T or whatever it's called now is an awesome park, but the old 'Stick was a special, special place.
