Scanned the manifesto. He sounds real motivated.

It is also a suicide note, saying his good-byes & his "Thank you's."

He needs help getting out of the country. Of course, Obama has made sure that he has the right to kill Americans, without trial, wherever they go, so that may not work.

Dorner is a loon, but he isn't stupid.

Dorner knows how this going to end and he seems at peace with it. The SoCal PD better hope they get lucky or hope Dorner isn't as squared away as he seems.

My guess is he's staying put somewhere and waiting out the Police and the press. Strike in a couple of months when everyone let's their guard down. Why risk moving around and getting ID'd? This guy wants to do maximum damage before he get's blown away.

If Dorner drags this on for Months, things could get really ugly; not just the killings, but the LAPD is going to go nuts. If they think they and their fellow club members are at risk, they won't even pretend to follow the fucking rules. If Dorner comes out of hiding every couple of months and pulls off an execution and goes to ground again, he'll really spin them up.

Is this something that the FBI are going to get involved in or will it remain municipal and/or state law enforcement's problem?

First, it's profoundly evil & fucked up to kill someone's daughter because you think Dad did you wrong. So, this guy isn't even a decent avenger.
Second, although he talked big military intel & ops shit on Facebook, he hasn't hit any of the targets that were directly involved in his firing. And his boat hijack didn't go so well. IMO, he has an inflated sense of his abilities - I wouldn't be surprised if he were found face down in the snow at Big Bear.
Third, he is a BIG negro with his face plastered everywhere...it will be hard for him to blend into many environments.

Side note: in 2009, Seattle PD had a similar issue with a non-military type crusader who killed a cop and burned up some cop cars. He got shot down in my little town, and is now paralyzed and on trial, facing the death penalty.

Well, right off the bat it eliminates any hope of rational people taking his claims seriously. But it's a scary demonstration of willingness to kill. He might have stockpiled explosives. If he's really had flight training, he could jack a small plane, put a bomb in it, ad fly into police HQ.

If Dorner was a 5'11" Anglo or Mexican guy; he'd have an easy time moving around southern California. A 250 + pound black dude is going to stick out. If he has any brains; the burned truck in Big Bear was a diversion and he's holed up somewhere riding out all the attention.

If not, some hiker will find what's left of him in the spring.

In the meantime, heavy set black people should avoid the police more than usual. The LAPD and their SOCAL LEO friends aren't being to discriminating on who they shoot right now.

Problem is, he ditched that car out in a Lilly white mountain resort town.

Also, the down side of having people willing to hide you is they could easily turn your ass in for a big reward.If this goes on for a while, there is going to be a huge reward on this guys head. It's going to get quite tempting for his buddies.

Dorner's truck had a broken axle. Unless this guy is very crafty*, this was a glitch in his plan (like the boat hijack gone bad). Even if he had prepped a Big Bear hide/cache, people would have noticed him, and will have reported to police. This is not the ghetto, he won't blend in. In the ghetto, $$$ will trump being Down with the Struggle.
From his grandiose Facebook the-world-revolves-around-me-and-my-grievances rant, he lives in his fantasy world; he doesn't live in the real world. Mr. Murphy will kick his ass. Again.
My guess is that he fucked up & is either dead or soon-to-be captured.



*Arguments against: 1) Navy, 2) Officer, 3) Flight/Intel Weinie, 4) Failure to hit any direct, relevant targets of his rage (What skill does it take to ambush a girl with boyfriend in a parking garage, or two random cops?), and 5) his history indicates he's a city boy, not a Country Boy.
