Re: Jiro Dreams of Sushi
It's an excellent film both in topic and execution. Jiro is a samurai of sushi. Although, I would argue that no one can claim the mantle of "best" it's beside the point; Jiro tries to constantly perfect his art and that pursuit over decades is what makes him special.

It is our job to see that it stays there." - George Orwell

Terrific film. Jiro's passion and dedication are humbling.

Watched it last night. Excellent.
Made me reflect on my own attitude about personal excellence and passion for my work and I found myself lacking in both departments. Going to approach things with the same level of humble obsession for improvement and love of my craft.

Saw this last night. Cool seeing Jiro getting together with childhood friends from 75 years ago.
It's interesting that over 1/3 of all Michelin 3-star restaurants are in Japan.

One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.
