I was in Long Beach some years ago and needed to pick up something before I took off. Asking around, everybody said that Wal-Mart was the only convenient place so I headed over. It was fantastic - other than the manager, I was the only white guy in the store as well as the only person wearing a tie (which I realized I should lose). I remember asking for something and was told that "Lateeesha, she got the key for that." Where is Lateeesha? "I dunno. Think she's out back with her boyfriend." It was like having Hee-Haw remade in the inner city or Jewish people in Crouching Tiger.

Awesome. And I concur with this 100% too.

Chumps put on Al Green or Marvin Gaye. It's presumptuous and cliche. A man puts on Portishead.

Anything by Prince minus his later stuff. For me anyway. A Perfect Circle is good, too. I do like that Portishead.
