Mike Jenkins is involved with this. He co-owns a CrossFit in Harrisburg. His half of the gym is, or was, called Catalyst Athletics.tzg wrote:It's also saving strongman: https://www.ezevent.com/Live/TheClydesd ... 152013/547Drew0786 wrote:Thank God Xfit is saving Oly lifting in the US.

You read it yet? Do a review if you have. Heard good things but a couple short articles I read had me doubting it.Boris wrote:Somewhat relevant to this thread: http://squatrx.blogspot.com/2013/03/going-clear.html

I had a good friend who was sucked into that sh** in college back in the day, so I have some interest in the topic.

This raises two questions:This is our “Mantra” – Something fun for us to live by – Enjoy!
For something new to be born, something old must be destroyed. Razed. Ruined.
Legend speaks of a place where men and women of flesh are remade of stone and fire. Pools of sweat are mixed with blood. Warriors bind their wounds and carry on through clouds of chalk. Undaunted, they march headlong into the razor toothed jaws of pain. Those who rise from the rubble emerge changed. Stronger. Better.
Welcome to Ruination.
Your muscles will rail against the apparatus, your lungs burning for air. Your bones will strain beneath the weight of rubber and iron. But your will, tempered, must be stronger than both. The death rattles of your peers will sound around you in shouts for time as they collapse to the floor. But you must press on, inviting agony and total exhaustion.
Here, our strength begins with Ruination.
1) How long did it take to type this one handed?
2) How many camo-print bandannas did he go through in the process?

Some bring up the radical notion that top Crossfitters get lax judging and perhaps we should be seeing video proof of more workouts . . . That would be crazy though. All must trust HQ. HQ is always fair. Put it in the suggestion box along with "year-round drug testing".

Someone created a "Josh Golden" YouTube channel and uploaded that video only:I'd Hit It wrote:Drama at the Gaymes! Spectator video of the men's winning workout #2 performance was put on YouTube. Viewers were shocked--just shocked!--that it did not meet "movement standards"! Shoddy, cheating, movements? In Crossfit? Never! Crying and moaning ensues on Facebook, CFHQ forced to disqualify him and throws affiliate out of judging, athlete complains. Tears shed, tiny violins played.

Then that channel was linked to from the gamez site:
http://games.crossfit.com/article/golde ... t-rejected
Real pondscum move to create an account impersonating someone else, and then write an article about it to make it official.
But not the first time HQ has done online impersonations.
