That's the movie. It's like Glengarry Glen Ross, but less funny.Herv100 wrote:Tried to watch this the other night, but fell asleep because 45 minutes in they hadn't even left Bilbos goddamn house

The Hobbit kicked ass. I liked it way more than I thought I would.

Was a bit of a who's who...(including the 7th Doctor Who) of British Screen in this thing.

Re: The Hobbit
I think parts two and three are going to be incredible. I really loved the first movie and can't wait for the introduction of the Beorn. He's not your typical IGX power-bear, but would fit in just fine given his love of mead and dogs.
Smaug needs to be the ultimate film dragon. So far, Dragonslayer and Reign of Fire are tied for best film fire-breather, IMO. I don't think PJ & Weta will disappoint with their monster and I'm really stoked to see what he actually looks like in action. Smaug needs to be Gollum-good, and I bet he will be. Can't wait to see his conversation with Bilbo.

You know damn well the thing is going to screech, and it is going to be annoying as hell. Like a car door needing grease. I'm dreading it already.JonnyCat wrote: Smaug needs to be the ultimate film dragon.

I'm hoping like hell that they get the wraith's right.
