I lost my best friend this weekend.

Post by Ryan »

I unexpectedly had to put down my best friend late Friday night. I couldn't have asked for a better dog than Morpheus, my German Shorthaired Pointer. He had just turned eleven earlier in the week. I'm usually not one to post something like this, but I thought it might help me get over it. Thanks.

Sorry for your loss. I know how you're feeling, did the same to my best friend, Chloe, my 13-1/2 year old golden retriever 3 weeks to day that you lost your b.f.

Yeah, its tough. I had to do that to one of mine last October. It was tougher than the
other two times I found one of my dogs dead upon returning home from work.

You cannot let them live in extreme pain if there is no hope that they will recover.

I am sorry, Ryan. GSP's are such marevlous friends. If only everyone in the world had those same two settings, Hunt and snuggle.

Damn, that's just a shame brother. Sorry to hear this. Hopefully you've got lots of pics and video of him to still put a smile on your face.

Sorry for your loss. I've been through that a few times myself.

That's exactly right. When he wasn't running around chasing critters he wanted to be right next to you. That's what I miss the most.

Thank you for the support everyone. I really appreciate it.

Tough one. I still laugh at things one of my dogs had done 15 years ago, and only feel a little bit of a twinge on the heart strings

Condolences. It sucks to lose a family member (that's how I always feel about my pets).
