BD, you need to be hitting that presentation.
Bring your own personal whiteboard and a handler to facilitate the talk.

Count on DS for some lulz. Trying to keep @fit from becoming a generic term like baseball or football.

http://games.crossfit.com/article/whats-name

I know there are a bunch of companies, people and, yes, sometimes even affiliates, that call a day devoted to some workouts and beer a “CrossFit competition.” Those events are not “CrossFit” competitions because they are not sponsored, endorsed or licensed by CrossFit Inc. These events are fitness competitions, just as the CrossFit Games are the premier fitness competition to determine the Fittest Man and Woman on Earth.

I love bitches who liked to party a bit in high school who paint this as some dark, skid row existence in order to give themselves an edge.

If you weren't sucking your dealer's cock for a hit, don't tell me that you had to climb your way out of a druggy pit of despair.

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. - Helen Keller

I have a relationship with the King of kings. He made us male and female. Same sex perversion is just that, a perversion of nature. Because I call it what it is, does not mean I am repressed, but that is the hype that the left wants you to believe. What I find most sad is that very few people actually love enough to lead a homosexual to freedom from the bondage of their same sex perversion. We have all sinned against a holy God, and yes, homosexuality is a sin against a holy God, and against mankind. If you know someone that engages in homosexual sin, pray for them and speak the truth to them lovingly.

I don't care how much I prepared, spent or traveled for a competition:

Death by deadlift!

Pungent terminology to some, but if you're a CrossFitter, it's pure humdrum. There have been endless articles and blogs that have advocated for or against CrossFit. Those for it wax eloquent on its perceived benefits, like improving physical strength, endurance, range of motion and even appearance. So, you're saying when you combine a strict diet minimizing dairy products and simple carbohydrates and work out harder and with more intensity, it yields results? Shocker (and that, ladies and gentlemen, is sarcasm at its finest).

The drawbacks of CrossFit are not as apparent. Due to a lack of prospective data, there is no definitive information attributing CrossFit to injury; rather, there are simply anecdotal reports associating CrossFit with -- amongst other things -- shoulder, back and knee pain. However, the associations between injury potential with the particular lifts and exercises performed during a typical class are painstakingly clear. Fortunately, it can all be addressed through improved quality control, but unlike Drake, it starts from the top.

There are currently no guidelines by any nationally-recognized authority (e.g. NSCA, NATA, ACSM, NCSF) that one can use to inform themselves about CrossFit training methods. Furthermore, potentially due to the minimal qualification requirements, the coaches may not always have the skillset or knowledge base to promote (and/or individually tailor) form in order to prevent injury. This is compounded by the fact that there are inadequate guidelines to prepare novice CrossFitters and potentially insufficient individual attention due to large class sizes. As many CrossFit programs are predicated upon competition amongst the class members, performance (e.g., time and/or repetitions) also often supersedes health. In other words, if you want to be first in the WOD (workout of the day), you may have to push through pain, injury and/or fatigue. It may be the essence of competition, but with high-intensity exercise, injury is inevitable if not done with the proper form. Athletes (novice and experts alike) should thus be cognizant of choosing facilities that offer coaches who are accredited by nationally recognized authorities....
This is just another generic @fit can hurt you article by a DPT. So what's the big deal ? Here's the response from HQ on twitter;
Citing 1 local news story to claim widespread injury = hilarious. Critique from someone who never passed the L1 even more so.
Fucking seriously???? Critique from a Doctor of Physical Therapy is hilarious because he didn't pay $1,000 for a t-shirt?

I don't understand the Flex/Up/FuelBand - all they are, so far as I can tell, are glorified pedometers with a web interface.

Might as well spring for a bit more and get a low end Garmin ForeRunner that tells you how far you've run or walked.
