I'm thinking of buying either a digital camera or a video that does photos. A hybrid. I will be doing photos for my new website,.. and videos.. with possible downloadable videos.. vs sending out dvds.
I'm a Mac guy. I will soon be purchasing a remanufactured Mac Air,.. so I want it to integrate.
I also want the EASIEST editing method.. I'm guessing iMovie.
IGX knowledges are gold and I appreciate the input.

What's your budget and do you want interchangeable lenses or an all-in-one package?
The Canon Rebel line is very popular for video on a budget - Canon was the first SLR maker to embrace digital video and
The Panasonic micro-4/3 is popular if you prefer a smaller package that's not a traditional SLR.
The Nikon 1 line is tiny, interchangeable lens and will do fine stills and 1080p video - either a used V1 or a current V2 would work fine.
Something like the Sony RX100 (~$450-500) is a compact camera that takes photos that are fine for the web and even small prints in books; it has a relatively large sensor for a compact and will do 1080p video.
I know these from the stills side and reputation for video, I've never done any editing. iMovie is probably fine.
further caveats:
The Rebel-series viewfinder sucks, FWIW. Irrelevant for video but if you'll be using it with your eye to the vf for stills, it's pretty terrible. Small and dark.
The electronic viewfinder on the Panasonics is better - not pro-SLR quality, but usable.
The Nikon V1/V2 EVF is surprisingly good for the camera's size.
RX100 doesn't have an EVF, you look at the rear screen.
