This DVD was produced in 2003 by Major John Plaster USA Ret.
Not sure when the actual interviews occurred because Carlos died in 1999.

Re: Carlos Hathcock DVD
Attended a lecture of his at Quantico. Had to be 89 or so. Very smart and very willing to help.

Re: Carlos Hathcock DVD
I don't think I knew who Carlos Hathcock was until the Fall of '82 when I was at Quantico.
Someone led me to believe that he really got screwed by his C.O. who forced Gunny Hathcock
to leave the Corps 55 or so days before his 20 year mark. The rumor was that he was physically
unable to perform his duties and that he had developed a pretty bad drinking problem.
In reading a wikipedia piece about him in now appears that his C.O. was doing him a great favor
by medically retiring him.
During Gunny Hathcock's interview with Major Plaster he often mentioned that he could not get
"the powers that be" to utilize snipers to their fullest advantage. I don't know if that has been
done since then, but I most definitely recall being urged to learn about the best way to utilize
snipers when I was at TBS and especially at IOC.
